A new program by Open University is using a 360º App to teach children about bullying. The App allows children to experience a bullying
In the examples that have so far been shown, the app functions by letting the user choose whether or not to stand up to a bully and then simulates the kind of response that may be appropriate this kind of bullying. Whether it is simply walking away or confronting the bully, the app is a great way to teach kids how to respond when they or another person are being bullied. The CEO of the project, Dr Liam Hackett sees the App is an effective way to help in “building empathy and compassion” while at the same time helping to build a skill set so that children are better prepared to help their friends or themselves if they are being subjected to bullying.
