Here at Vresh, we know that the creators are what make our application so special. One content creator bringing his own style to the world of 360º is Luke Betts, also known as @escapismist on Vresh. We got the chance to sit down with the Berlin based videographer to talk about his passions, favorite 360º cameras, and future content plans.
Vresh: Please introduce yourself to our readers. Who are you and what are you most passionate about?
Luke: Hey! My name is Luke Betts, originally from England am currently living in Berlin. I have a lot of different interests which I consider myself passionate about; skateboarding, music, visual arts, the list goes on. However, my main passion is Escapism – the tendency to seek distraction and relief from unpleasant realities.
Vresh: How did you first discover your passion?
Luke: Travelling through the many different countries of Europe, meeting a wide range of different people and personalities, and going out of my comfort zone opened my mind more than I had expected. It gave me a whole new outlook on life, and made me change my entire future.
When I arrived back in England, I quit my job and moved to Berlin, the city I felt most connected to and comfortable in during my travels. Now, I make my living by doing things I love! – Modeling, Photography/Videography, Editing, and helping others turn their visions into realities in whatever way I can.

Vresh: How did you become interested in 360º cameras or video? Do you remember the first time you found out about 360º video?
Luke: Originally, 360º content was something I didn’t have much experience with. Until I heard about the Insta360 One X camera. This camera really seemed to change the game in the 360º content world, it offered people an affordable camera with easy setup and editing tools to be able to create incredibly high quality videos both professionally, and for home video.
Vresh: What was your first 360º camera? How easy was the process for you to learn to film and edit 360º video?
Luke: My first 360 camera was the Insta360 One X, a beautiful beast shooting in 5.7K while being as small and light as a flip phone!
Vresh: What type of videos do you like to create?
Luke: I like to create anything which sparks some interest in my brain, sharing someone else’s passion, helping to create their vision, showing people a different perspective.
I just like videos man 😅.
Vresh: What video projects are you currently working on? What can we expect from you in the near future?
Luke: Always working on like 10 things at once – mainly showcasing some events and experiences that Berlin/Germany has to offer. Right now, im finishing up a skate style video with NikeSB, filming footage for a ‘future’ themed artistic photo/video project with ESCAPISMIST, and also a very cool secretive project project with one of Berlin’s vigilante groups. Stay tuned!
Vresh: Where can people follow you on social media?
Luke: Like most creators, I have multiple social media accounts!
